The aim of this course is to produce a skilled workforce to fulfill the requirement of Star hotel and restaurant standards to work as a professional Cook and Baker. This course aims
• To upgrade existing skills and knowledge of professional cook and Baker
• To fulfill the demand for professional cooks and bakers.
Course Description:
This course deals with skills and knowledge in the field of Cooking and Baking. This course covers Stare hotel cooking and Baking.
Target groups:
Interested persons, at least grade eight pass and able to read and write English.
Group size:
Maximum trainees in a group of 30
Duration:
792 hours
Entry criteria:
Those who can read and write in Nepali as well as English languages
Medium of instruction:
Nepali as well as English as needed.
The pattern of Attendance:
90% attendance should be secure for knowledge and 100% attendance should be secure for practical during the training.
Certificate requirements:
Institutes themselves provide certificates to those trainees who successfully complete the prescribed course.
Lab and Classroom
A theory classroom for 30 students and a lab for 15 trainees at a time for the practice must be provided
Basic tools and Equipment for the training
Basic tools and equipment for the training will be available. The major equipment are cooking range with, a fridge, mixture grinder, oven, griller, etc
Trainer’s qualification:
- Instructor 3 Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related subject of at least 3 months training in the related subject after bachelor’s degree of Intermediate pass with 6 years working Experience in a related field.
- Assistant Instructor Minimum Intermediate degree in the related subject of at least 3 months training in the related subject after Intermediate degree of Intermediate pass with 6 years working Experience in a related field.
Trainees Evaluation:
A continuous evaluation system will follow while performing each task.
